Sarah Gracz, MS, LMFT, CEDS-C
I am inspired by client’s ability to harness their own strength to overcome their struggles. My goal is to help clients uncover their most authentic self by exploring how change, growth, and insight can lead to better relationships both within and with others.
I utilize systems theory and an integrative approach to help others achieve their goals and overall emotional well-being. I believe people have the inherent ability to embrace strengths from within to effect change. I am passionate about providing a safe and supportive environment for clients and empowering them on their journey towards healing. I am an affirmative and non-judgmental therapist and I welcome diversity including all body sizes, abilities, races, sexualities, genders, religions and political values.
My specialities and areas of interest include eating disorders and disordered eating patterns, relationship issues, life transitions, family conflict, identity development, and anxiety.
In my time away from work, I’m usually spending time with my husband, baby boy, and stubborn Catahoula, Atlas. You can also catch me reading, checking out coffee shops and restaurants, hiking, backpacking, or traveling somewhere new. When I am outside in nature, I feel the most myself. My husband calls our house “a jungle” because of my indoor plant obsession:)
*I am not currently accepting new clients.
My Background
Experience
My career as a psychotherapist began with working in residential treatment for those with eating disorders and I spent about 7 years in higher levels of care as a counselor, primary therapist, and clinic director. Ready for outpatient work, I joined a group practice where I treated individuals, couples, and families with various concerns and in 2021 decided to open my own practice, Orenda Counseling Services, to continue my work. I most often integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Intergenerational Family of Origin work based on individual needs.
